Broadband Infrastructure Program

Overview


The Broadband Infrastructure Program is a $288 million program to build partnerships between states and Internet service providers. The goal of the program is to expand Internet access to areas without service, especially to rural areas. Funding is for infrastructure and deployment projects.

The application window for this program closed on August 17, 2021. More than 230 applications were submitted. We announced the first awards on February 23, 2022. We'll announce more awards on a rolling basis. For more information, visit BroadbandUSA.
